That’s the year that Luby’s Cafeteria was formed. The Texas chain served comfort food, including chicken fried steak and roast chicken. But Luby’s has suffered during the pandemic, with sales falling 75% in the 2020 first quarter when compared to the first quarter last year. Luby’s is now liquidating its assets.
